David Joyce was Clontarf's hero in their 26-13 away win over Cork Constitution. He kicked seven penalties. Con' trailed 14-6 at the break with Darragh Lyons kicking two penalties for the home side. A try by Conor Desmond in the final minute, converted by Lyons was Con's other score.
Garryowen are in grave danger of being relegated after they lost their bottom of the table clash away to Ballynahinch 18-6. Jamie Gavin kicked two penalties for the Dooradoyle side in the first half.
U.L. Bohemian's promotion hopes from Division 1B took a severe dent at Annacotty as they lost to Galway Corinthians 13-10.
A second half penalty by Finn Gormley gave Corinthians the points as they held out against a home side who had greater possession in the second half.
Gormley kicked a penalty and then converted an intercept try by John Byrne to have Corinthians 10-0 in front.
A try either side of halftime by left wing Adrian Enright made it all square but Gormley had the final say.
Leaders Terenure continued their unbeaten run with a 25-17 home win over Shannon. The Dublin side led 25-7 at half time with David Quinlan scoring a try for Shannon which Gearoid Lyons converted.
Shannon rallied after the break with a try by Conor Glynn, a conversion and penalty by Lyons.
U.C.C. ran in seven tries in their Division 2A promotion table clash with Rainey Old Boys at the Mardyke winning 39-20. Cian O'Halloran and Paul Derham each scored two tires and Dave O'Connell, Seamus Glynn and Peter McCabe got one each. Sean Og Murphy added two conversions.
For the rest of the Munster clubs in this Division it was a bleak day as three Munster clubs occupy the three bottom places.
Second placed City Of Derry edged out Old Crescent 10-5.
Cashel were surprisingly beaten at home16-11 by Bective Rangers. Bruff lost away to Old Wesley 57-14 and Galwegians defeated Highfield 44-3.
Nenagh Ormond remain top of Division 2B after their 20-8 home win over Instonians.
Thomond had a bonus point 34-10 home win over Navan to keep their promotion hopes alive. Dermot Fitzgerald scored two tries four conversions and two penalties and Leonard Slattery and Derek O'Brien got a try each.
At the other end of the table Midleton defeated Richmond 17-11. Jim Mackessy and Jeff Hitchmough scored tries for Midleton and Hitchmough converted both and also added a penalty. John Deegan replied with a try for Richmond and Darragh Clancy kicked two penalties.
Sunday's Well moved out of the relegation zone with their first win of the campaign with a 40-11 home win over Suttonians. John Barry scored two tries for the winners and Michael Moynihan and Ross O'Mahony got one each. The 'Well were also awarded a penalty try. Shane O'Riordan kicked three conversions and two penalties. Danny O'Shea also added a drop goal.
Skibbereen qualified for the All Ireland Junior Cup semi final after a 17-10 home win over Tralee. A try and conversion by Garrett Walsh gave the Kerry side the lead but tries by David Shannon and Michael Limerick both converted by Ger Hurley had Skibbereen 14-7 ahead at half time. Hurley extended the home side's advantage with a penalty early in the second half but Tralee's only reply was a penalty by Walsh.
Kilfeacle made the long trip to Tyrone but lost to Clogher Valley 29-0.
