Commenting on his retirement Murty said “I have enjoyed my career with Munster Rugby but feel the time is right for me to move on and explore further sporting dreams. I was lucky enough to experience many of the club’s successes over the years but have decided it is now time to pass the mantle on. I wish to thank all the fans for their contributions throughout the seasons and hope my successor will inspire the ‘Red Army’ to the level I did”.
Munster Rugby have recruited Murty’s replacement who is currently in pre season training. At this stage he has been measured for his new Munster mascot kit which Munster Rugby will officially launch over the coming weeks.
We would like to wish Murty every success in his future endeavours and hope that his chronic history of slow punctures won’t hinder his new venture!
