Across a busy weekend, action continues in the Men’s All-Ireland League, with the third round of games down for decision across all five Divisions.

Proceedings also get underway in the newly-restructured Women’s AIL.

In Division 1A of the Men’s AIL, Cork Constitution, who are second from bottom, will have their work out, as they welcome defending champions St Mary’s College, who are third, to Temple Hill. The Lilywhites are seeking their first win of the campaign, as they returned from their 36-33 defeat by Old Wesley in Dublin with two bonus points, as they scored five tries. St Mary’s College go into the tie on the back of a 36-33 home win over Clontarf in a Dublin derby.

Young Munster, who are seventh entertain, bottom side Ballynahinch at Tom Clifford Park. The Limerick side recorded their first win last time out, as they narrowly defeated Terenure College 21-17 in Dublin. The County Down side are on zero points and they go into tie on the back of a 56-10 away defeat to Old Belvedere.

Division 1B leaders Nenagh Ormond go head to head with bottom side Instonians in North Tipperary. Nenagh Ormond returned from their 33-21 away win over Naas with maximum points. The Belfast side were defeated 24-7 at home by Highfield. They are also on a single losing bonus point from their 25-20 opening day defeat by Garryowen in Limerick.

Highfield, who are in fifth place behind Naas on scoring differences, take on Dublin University at Woodleigh Park. The Leesiders returned with maximum points from their 24-7 victory over Instonians in Belfast. The Dublin Students, who are third, also claimed all points on offer from their 46-22 home win over Garryowen.

UCC, who are second from bottom, are away to City of Armagh, who are sixth. Both sides are seeking their first win of the campaign. The Leeside Students claimed two bonus points from their 32-26 home defeat to Blackrock College, where they scored four tries. The Ulster side also claimed two bonus points from their last game, which they narrowly lost 23-22 to MU Barnhall in County Kildare. They also scored four tries

Garryowen, who are two points clear of the drop zone in eighth place, host MU Barnhall at Dooradoyle. The Sky Blues go into the tie on the back of a 46-22 defeat in the Capital by Dublin University. MU Barnhall, who are ahead of the Limerick side on scoring differences, recorded a narrow 23-22 home win over City of Armagh.

Cashel, who lead Division 2A with maximum points from their games to date, entertain Galwegians in the Premier County. The Tipperary side are also ahead of Corinthians on scoring differences. Cashel recorded a 36-29 victory over Queen’s University in a ten-try thriller in Belfast last time out. Galwegians claimed their only point to date from their 25-19 home defeat to Shannon. The Galway side are also ahead of Greystones on scoring differences.

Shannon, who are sixth, host seventh-placed Wanderers at Thomond Park. Shannon recorded their first win of the campaign last time out, as they defeated Galwegians 25-19 in Galway. Wanderers go into the tie on the back of a 31-25 defeat by Dungannon in Dublin.

UL Bohemians, who are eighth, travel to County Wicklow, to take on bottom side Greystones. The Limerick side claimed two bonus points from their 31-28 home defeat by Ballymena, as they scored four tries. Greystones claimed a losing bonus point from their 26-19 home defeat by Corinthians.

There is one Munster derby in Division 2B South, which sees Dolphin, who are 6th, locking horns with second-placed Old Crescent, at Virgin Media Park. Dolphin were defeated 43-21 by leaders Clonmel in South Tipperary. The Limerick side claimed all points on offer from their 44-31 home win over Monkstown as they scored six tries in a ten-try thriller.

Leaders Clonmel, who are also on maximum points, travel to the Model County, to take on Enniscorthy, who are on zero points. Clonmel ran out 43-21 home winner s over Dolphin last time out. Enniscorthy fell to a heavy 55-7 home defeat by Thomond.

Midleton, who are third, travel to the Capital, to take on fourth-placed Bective Rangers at Energia Park. Midleton claimed maximum points as they put up 58 points with out reply against Buccaneers in East Cork. The Dublin side ran out comprehensive 57-7 away winners over Bruff.

Thomond, who are fifth, entertain Buccaneers, who are propping up the table on zero points, at Liam Fitzgerald Park. Thomond returned with maximum points from their comprehensive 55-7 victory over Enniscorthy in County Wexford. Buccaneers go into the tie on the back of a heavy 58-0 defeat by Midleton in East Cork

Eighth-placed Bruff travel to Dublin to take on Monkstown, who are seventh, at Park Avenue. Bruff were defeated 57-7 at home by Bective Rangers in their last game. Monkstown were defeated 44-31 by Old Crescent in Limerick, in a game which produced ten tries.

In Division 1A of the Women’s AIL, defending champions UL Bohemian travel to the Capital, to take on Railway Union at Willow Lodge, as they begin their quest for a fourth successive title.

In Division 1B, Ballincollig travel to County Kildare, to take on newcomers MU Barnhall and Ennis are away to Cooke in Belfast.

JUNIOR

The Men’s Munster League continues this weekend with a full set of games across all three Divisions.

Proceedings get underway in Division 1 of the Men’s Munster Junior League as both promoted clubs Kinsale host Crosshaven in a South Cork derby. Both sides are unbeaten and are sharing third place on eight points apiece. Kinsale narrowly defeated Newcastle West 31-27 in West Limerick, to claim maximum points. They have also booked their place in the next round of the Munster Junior Clubs’ Challenge Cup, where they will be away to Skibbereen or Kanturk, as their game against Newcastle West doubled up as a Munster Junior Clubs’ Challenge Cup opener. Crosshaven recorded a narrow 27-25 home win over Clanwilliam in their last game.

Defending champions Kilfeacle, who lead the table on maximum points from their games to date, entertain Mallow in West Tipperary. Kilfeacle recorded a 43-36 away win over Kanturk last time out. Mallow narrowly lost 29-26 at home to Bandon, but claimed two bonus points, as they scored four tries.

Bandon, who are unbeaten in second place, meet Newcastle West at Old Chapel. The West Cork side go into the tie on the back of a 29-26 away win over Mallow. Newcastle West were narrowly defeated 31-27 at home by Kinsale. The West Limerick side claimed two bonus points, as they scored four tries.

Sunday’s Well take on Richmond at Virgin Media Park. Sunday’s Well go into the tie on the back of a 47-32 maximum-point victory over St Mary’s at Virgin Media Park. Richmond are propping up the table on zero points. They were defeated 32-11 in Limerick by Clonakilty in their last game.

St Mary’s go head to head with Old Christians at MultiFlow Park. St Mary’s returned from their 47-32 defeat by Sunday’s Well on Leeside with a bonus point, as they scored four tries. Old Christians claimed all points on offer from their 52-7 home win over Skibbereen.

Skibbereen and Kanturk lock horns in a Cork derby at the Carbery Showgrounds. Skibbereen were defeated 52-7 by Old Christians at Rathcooney last time out. The Duhallow side are second from bottom on a single losing bonus point, which was claimed from their 43-36 away defeat by Kilfeacle.

Clanwilliam, who are hovering above the drop zone, take on Clonakilty in Tipperary Town. Clanwilliam returned from their narrow 27-25 defeat by Crosshaven in South Cork with two bonus points, as they scored four tries. Clonakilty returned with maximum points from their 32-11 victory over Richmond in Limerick.

The two Clare sides in Division 2 share pole position on maximum points.

Ennis welcome Charleville to the Banner County. Ennis claimed all points on offer from their 24-15 away win over Fermoy. Charleville were defeated 26-19 at home by Cobh Pirates, but finished with a losing bonus point.

St. Senan’s are away to Cobh Pirates, who share second place with Youghal and Killarney. St Senan’s ran out 42-22 winners over Castleisland at the Kerry venue. The Pirates also claimed all points on offer last time out, as they defeated Charleville at the North Cork venue.

Youghal will be looking to make the most of home advantage count, as they lock horns with Fermoy at the East Cork venue. The Seasiders defeated Waterpark 23-5 on Suirside, while Fermoy fell to a 26-15 home defeat by Ennis.

Killarney go head to head with Kingdom neighbours Tralee in East Kerry. Killarney are looking to maintain their unbeaten start to the campaign, following their 29-15 away win over Carrick-on-Suir. Tralee go into the tie on the back of a 15-7 home win over Thurles.

Muskerry entertain Castleisland, who are on zero points. The Sky Blues go into the tie on the back of a bonus point 33-31 home win over Ballincollig in a Mid Cork derby. Castleisland were defeated 42-22 by St Senan’s in the Kingdom.

Ballincollig welcome Carrick-on-Suir to Tanner Park. The Mid Cork side claimed two bonus points from their Mid Cork derby defeat by Muskerry, last time out, as they scored four tries. Carrick-on Suir were defeated 29-15 at home by Killarney.

Thurles lock horns with Waterpark in a basement clash at the Mid Tipperary venue. Thurles were defeated 15-7 by Tralee in the Kingdom. Waterpark, who are on zero points, were defeated 23-5 at home by Youghal.

In Division 3, Killorglin and Waterford City go head to head in Mid Kerry, with both sides on maximum points. The Kingdom side defeated Dungarvan 40-19 in West Waterford, while Waterford City go into the tie on the back of a 35-17 home win over Bantry Bay, where they claimed all points on offer.

Abbeyfeale entertain Dungarvan in West Limerick. Abbeyfeale go into the tie on the back of a 34-20 maximum-point away win over Fethard. Dungarvan are seeking their first points, following their 40-19 home defeat by Killorglin.

Scariff travel to County Limerick, to take on Galbally-Mitchelstown. Scariff defeated Corca Dhuibhne 27-15 in their opener in East Clare, to claim maximum points.

Corca Dhuibhne welcome Fethard to the West Kerry Gaeltacht. Corca Dhuibhne were defeated 27-15 by Scariff in their opener in East Clare. Fethard were defeated 34-20 by Abbeyfeale in West Limerick, but claimed a bonus point, as they scored four tries.

Bantry Bay go in search of their first points as they take on Douglas in West Cork. Banty Bay lost their opener 35-17 against Waterford City on Suirside.

The first semi-final of the Munster Women’s Division 1 Cup is down for decision as Shannon take on Galbally at Coonagh. The winners will meet Dolphin or UL Bohemian in  the decider.
