Munster fell to a 24-32 defeat to Leicester Tigers as Clayton McMillan's side finished their new season preparations ahead next weekend's URC opener against the Glasgow Warriors at Thomond Park.
Similar to the pre-season match against La Rochelle, Munster named two different teams for each half of play.
With 12 minutes on the clock, Jamie Blamire crashed over from close range to score the game's opening try which was converted by Billy Searle after the English side dominated possession in the opening exhanges.
Finn Carnduff extended Leicester's advantage with a second try before Munster almost got back into the game with the home side knocking on the door just inches from the Tigers' line but for a knock on to derail the opportunity.
Senior debutant Charlie O'Shea, who made some nice contributions up until this point, got Munster back into the game when he ghosted through a gap in the Leicester defence, showed his strength with a firm hand off before dotting down next to the posts. The former CBC pupil knocked over the conversion to leave the score at 7-12.
Before the half came to a close, Tigers got one more try through Jack van Poortvliet to leave it 7-17 at the break.
Munster had to some defending at the start of the second half but after 10 minutes they wrestled back control.
McMillan's men got themselves back into the game with a try from Gavin Coombes who crashed over from close range after an excellent mauling effort from Jimmy Duffy's pack. O'Shea's conversion into the wind drifted wide as Munster were just five points down.
Munster then took the lead when some really nice play from Jake O'Riordan saw the young scrum-half snipe from the base of a ruck through a gap and go over for his side's third try. Tony Butler's conversion put Munster 19-17 in front.
Unfortunately for Munster, Leicester Tigers hit back with their first try of the second half when Corbin Thunder went over in the corner. The conversion drifted wide as Leicester retook the lead 19-22.
Munster suffered another try concession moments later when a skip pass from Munster was picked off by a Leicester hand. Tom Whiteley ran clear to score a try for his side which was converted.
Tigers then added three more points to extend their lead to 19-32 as Munster's indiscipline continued to give the visitors opportunities.
Munster did get a deserved try at the death as Diarmuid Kilgallen produced a superb acrobatic finish in the corner to reduce the deficit.
