Rockwell College 15 - 26 Christian Brothers College
Christian Brothers College have punched their ticket to the Munster Schools Junior Cup Final after an end-to-end battle with Tipperary rivals Rockwell College. Rockwell laid down their stake early on when Jonty Purcell found touch. The Tipp natives won the line out and set a maul barreling for the try line as Fabian Shiel dotted down. But CBC were quick to lodge a response as Jack Singleton ran in in the corner. Luck swung back in favour of Rockwell as captain Jack Landy was next to touch down to bring the score to 10-5. Both teams were then reduced to 14 men just 15 minutes into the game after a melee in the centre of the field. CBC struck once more as Sean Riordan crossed the white wash and Jack O'Shea converted. But by the half time whistle Rockwell had secured themselves a narrow lead through Ethan Kendrick who drove his way across the line to bring the score to 15-12. CBC were the only side to score in the second half as Henry Hussey crashed over twice in the closing stages with O'Shea converting both scores to bring the final score to 15-26.
