Speaking ahead of Saturday’s match, where Munster will host Argentina for the first time since 1973, Lawler said:
“The energy built the minute the match finished on Saturday night knowing that the following week we’re playing against an international side at home.
“The pressure is off a little bit in relation to the fact that there’s no points at stake so everybody can go out and really, really enjoy it.
“For us as coaches, we feed off the energy of the players and how excited they are for the occasion. If you look at the history of Munster for the last number of years and the teams that have come to play us, we have gotten a couple of scalps. Long may that continue and we’ll be looking to do the same at the weekend.”
