The Munster men’s squad started their preparations today (Monday) ahead of Saturday’s Champions Cup clash against Northampton Saints at Thomond Park (3.15pm).

The West Terrace has sold-out but tickets are still available for the game here.

Munster’s Ireland internationals have all returned to the HPC.

On the injury front, Diarmuid Barron (shoulder) will go for a scan and his availability will be determined later in the week.

Josh Wycherley (ribs) is being monitored by the medical department and his availability will also be determined later in the week.

Kiran McDonald (arm) will not be available.

Following the win over Lions, Head Coach Graham Rowntree provided an update on Fineen Wycherley (shoulder), Greencore Munster Rugby Academy man Edwin Edogbo (ankle) and Tom Ahern (shoulder).

Graham said: “We’ll hopefully have Fineen back at the end of the month and Edwin back at the start of next month.” He said that Ahern’s return is not expected until “March, at the earliest”.

Along with the 23 players in URC action on Friday night, Munster prop James French was among the tries for Highfield at the weekend as they won at St Mary’s College in their rescheduled AIL fixture.

Continuing to rehab: Jeremy Loughman (thigh), Tom Ahern (shoulder), RG Snyman (knee), Fineen Wycherley (shoulder), Paddy Kelly (head), Jack Daly (knee), Andrew Conway (knee), Keynan Knox (knee).
