Munster Rugby return to Thomond Park this week for Friday Night Lights against Edinburgh in the United Rugby Championship (7.35pm).

The visitors are just above Munster sitting 4th in the table on 34 points after winning six out of ten encounters.  Munster maintained their fifth place position with a losing bonus point defeat to Glasgow at the weekend and have recorded six wins in nine games.

Munster saw their four-game winning run in all competitions end with a 13-11 defeat against Glasgow last Friday.

But they now return to Thomond Park, where they have won all their games this season.

Edinburgh, though, are no strangers to winning in Limerick and they were the last Scottish side to achieve that feat with a 14-13 success just over seven years ago.

Their most recent visit in October 2020 saw both sides battle it out for 80 minutes with Munster coming from behind to a claim a late 25-23 win.
