Report | Old Crescent Win Sporting Limerick Charity Cup

Old Crescent stunned Young Munster to win the Sporting Limerick Charity Cup for only the third time at a wet Rosbrien by 17-10 last night. This game also doubled up for the Michael Kelly Cup which is an annual fixture between these two sides. Both sides were short some regulars as Old Crescent who trailed 10-0 with twenty minutes remaining staged a remarkable comeback to win in extra time. Darragh O’Gorman gave Young Munster a 3-0 half time lead with a penalty after twenty minutes. A try Alan Kennedy converted by O’Gorman three minutes into the second half extended Young Munster’s lead to 10-0.
