No Place For Quinlan In Ireland 22

Alan Quinlan is the one member of Munster Heineken’s Cup winning pack not included in the Ireland side for the game against New Zealand on Saturday at Wellington’s Westpac Stadium.

Quinlan, Munster’s outstanding blind-side performer this season is suffering from a thigh injury and Denis Leamy is selected at 6 with Jamie Heaslip at number 8.  Jerry Flannery returns to the side at hooker after missing the entire RBS Six Nations Championship.

Ireland: R Kearney; S Horgan, B O’Driscoll capt, L Fitzgerald, T Bowe; R O’Gara, E Reddan; M Horan, J Flannery, J Hayes; D O’Callaghan, P O’Connell; D Leamy, D Wallace, J Heaslip. Replacements: R Best, T Buckley, M O’Driscoll, S Jennings, P Stringer, P Wallace, G Dempsey.
