Cashel are through to the quarter-final draw of the ODM Munster Senior Cup after their 25-10 victory over Waterpark and Shannon remain on course for a record seventh successive title. Also through to the quarter-finals of the Cup are Dolphin and Garryowen. They will be joined by either U.L. Bohemian or Cork Constitution who meet next week.
Cobh Pirates made a great start to their League campaign with a 15-3 win at home to Bandon. Both Clanwilliam and Kilfeacle had impressive victories, as newcomers Newport and Douglas both lost.
