Samoa narrowly missed out on a place in the Melrose Cup - the main competition eventually won by Fiji - when they were beaten 12-7 by England on Saturday.
They had to come from behind to beat Ireland 19-14 in the Plate quarter final and defeated Russia, 29-12 at the penultimate stage.
On TuesdayLima will travel to meet with his new team-mates before returning to Dublin for the necessary medical examinations.
