Close season signings Paul Burke and Mike Storey will make their debuts for Munster in the opening game of the season, the friendly against London Irish in Thomond Park (7pm) on Tuesday.

In Paul Burke’s case it’s simply a return to the side he first turned out with in October 1994 while Storey was due to join Munster last season before injury ruled out the move.

The game in Thomond sees the welcome return of flanker Denis Leamy and scrum-half Mike Prendegast both of whom missed most of last season through injury.
