West Cork man Josh Wycherley joined the Munster Rugby Academy in November 2018.

A product of Bantry Bay RFC, Josh is a younger brother of senior player Fineen Wycherley and made four appearances for Munster A in the 2018/19 Celtic Cup.

The prop has represented Ireland at U18, U19 and U20 level, is a former pupil of Cistercian College, Roscrea, and plays his club rugby with Young Munster.

Starred in the Ireland U20s' Grand Slam-winning Six Nations campaign in 2019 and also featured prominently in that summer’s World Rugby U20 Championship.

Made his Guinness PRO14 debut against Cardiff Blues in October 2020 and made his first start away to Dragons the following week.

Made his Champions Cup debut against Harlequins in December 2020 before making his first European start in the away win over Clermont Auvergne the following week.

Made nine appearances over the 2020/21 campaign and signed a two-year contract with the senior squad ahead of the 2021/22 season.

Scored two tries in 19 appearances in the 2021/22 season and was selected for the Emerging Ireland tour to South Africa

Signed a two-year contract extension at the start of the 2022/23 season and made 21 appearances over the campaign as Munster clinched the URC title.

Wycherley featured in 15 fixtures over the 2023/24 season, including all Champions Cup games, as well as starting at loosehead for all pre-season and mid-season friendlies.

Played in the first two games of the 2024/25 season but sustained a neck injury that ruled him out for a number of months.
