Full-back Mike Haley joined Munster from Sale Sharks ahead of the 2018/19 season.

The Preston native is Irish qualified through his maternal grandmother who hails from Tralee, Co Kerry.

Haley made over 100 appearances for Premiership side Sale and made his European debut against Munster at the AJ Bell Stadium in October 2014.

An exciting talent, Haley gained considerable experience over the past number of seasons, winning England Saxons honours on their tour to South Africa in June 2016 as well as representing an England XV against the Barbarians at Twickenham in May 2017.

An impressive debut season at Munster saw Haley play more minutes than any other player with the full-back racking up 1,876 minutes in 26 starts.

Rewarded with his first Ireland call-up for the training camp ahead of the 2019 World Cup and made his international debut against Italy in August 2019.

Made 15 starts at full-back for Munster in the 2019/20 season but missed the business end of the campaign due to injury.

Returned to action in the opening game of the 2020/21 season and made his 50th Munster appearance against Leinster in January 2021.

Haley topped the charts for minutes on the pitch in the 2020/21 campaign, playing a total of 1,468 minutes in his 19 starts.

Improved on that record in 2021/22, playing 1,477 minutes in 19 starts and signed a two-year contract extension at the start of the 2022/23 campaign.

Made 18 starts in the 2022/23 season as Munster won the URC title.

Missed the first half of the 2023/24 season as he recovered from hip surgery but returned to action in February 2024, making his 100th appearance against Ospreys in March.

Made 13 starts in the 2024/25 season before undergoing surgery on an ankle injury in January that ruled him out of the following months.
