Chisom begun playing rugby in Ennis RFC before making the move to UL Bohemian RFC to play senior rugby.

She originally featured for Munster in the 2021/2022 season making her senior debut against Ulster.

She was also called up to the Irish U20 squad for the inaugural U20 Women’s Six Nations in Parma, Italy.

As well as being a talented rugby player Ugwueru also competed in athletics in her youth and was a talented triple and long jumper.

To date, Chisom has accrued 15 appearances for Munster and in September 2026, lined out for the Ireland Universties Sevens Team.
