From County Clare, Ellis Cahill currently plays for UL Bohs in the Energia AIL. She began playing rugby at age 15 with Ennis RFC.

She played at u18 Interprovincial level for Munster, appearing in the plate, cup and league finals. Her Senior debut was part of an impressive 34-0 victory over Ulster.

Cahill also played u18 county-level Camogie.

Cahill has made 19 appearances for Munster in total and in 2026, she made her senior Ireland debut away to England at Twickenham in the Women's Six Nations.
