Sharks Visit Garryowen RFC As Part Of URC's Communities United Initiative

A group of young male footballers in blue shirts huddle together on a pitch.

Sharks players and coaches took time out of their match preparations to meet some of Garryowen's young rugby players, giving them the opportunity to interact with the South African side.

The visit formed part of the URC's Communities United initiative, which aims to strengthen connections between professional rugby teams and local communities across the Championship.

The youngsters enjoyed an evening of rugby activities alongside the visiting players and coaches, with plenty of opportunities to learn from the professionals.

Garryowen RFC's Vice President also spoke about the importance of visits like these and the positive impact they can have on young players and their clubs.

The Sharks face Munster at Thomond Park on Saturday, October 31, in round six of the BKT United Rugby Championship.
