O’Mahony To Lead Way

It was confirmed yesterday that Munster’s Peter O’Mahony will captain the Ireland squad for this year’s summer tour to North America.

It is the first time that the 23 year old will lead an Irish senior side having previously captained Munster, Munster A and under-age Irish squads. This time four years ago O'Mahony captained the Irish U20s Junior World Cup side that competed in Japan.

This is Peter's second Ireland summer tour, having played in Ireland's three games against New Zealand last June, and he has 14 Irish caps to his name since making his debut against Italy in February 2012.
