Waterford's Jack O'Donoghue came through the Munster system.

Jack O’Donoghue is in line to make his 100th Munster appearance in Saturday’s Guinness PRO14 semi-final against Leinster at the RDS (2.30pm).

The back-row forward is named among the replacements for the clash, see full team details here.

If he appears off the replacements bench, O’Donoghue will become the 16th member of the current squad to reach the 100-cap milestone.

A Waterford native, Jack has scored nine tries in his 99 Munster appearances to date and made his Munster debut less than five years ago.

A product of the Munster Youths system, O’Donoghue captained Waterpark to an U17 Munster title in 2011 and was part of the All Ireland-winning Waterpark U17 side the previous season.

He made his British and Irish Cup debut for Munster A at the age of just 18 in December 2012 after featuring in the Munster U20s interprovincial series.

He made his Ireland U20s debut in 2013 and captained the national side at the 2014 Junior World Cup in New Zealand.

He was handed the Munster A captaincy for the 2014/15 season and went on to make 10 PRO12 appearances that year, deservedly winning Academy Player of the Year.

Made his Champions Cup debut against Benetton Treviso in November 2015 and finished the season with 26 senior appearances to his name.

Followed that up with another stellar 2016/17 campaign with 27 appearances and an international debut for Ireland in the November internationals.

Last season saw O’Donoghue become the first Waterford player to captain Munster in the professional era and he ended the season with 30 appearances to his name.

Suffered a knee ligament injury in last season’s PRO14 semi-final loss to Leinster and underwent a long-term rehabilitation programme before returning to action in February.
