With such huge demand on the body during preseason and the season proper, fuelling performance is key.

We chat with Emma Tester, Munster’s Performance Nutritionist and the person tasked with ensuring the squad’s nutritional requirements are met before, during and after sessions, facilitating both performance and recovery.

Food is mood according to Emma, “We need to make sure that food is not just about performance but that there is also a social aspect to it – keeping them happy.  Food is mood and if the mood is bad, then the food has not been good from my point of view.”

Guinness PRO14 tickets

Tickets are now on sale for Munster’s opening games of the season.

In Round 1, Rassie Erasmus’ men face Treviso under Friday Night Lights at Irish Independent on September 1st, while the following Saturday at Thomond Park, Munster host South African opposition, The Cheetahs, for the first time in the newly expanded Guinness PRO14.
