Capped 58 times by the All Blacks in an international career that began in June 1996 (v Samoa) with a hat trick of tries and ended in November 2002 against France. 
He represented the New Zealand Maori in their North American tour summer 2003 and later that year joined Munster from the Wellington Hurricanes.
