The South African and Cheetahs prop was signed on a short term contract to provide cover while Marcus Horan was sidelined in November 2009.
He made his debut against the Ospreys at the start of December and played his final game against Northampton Saints in Thomond Park in January 2010.
He re-joined Munster on a two year contract at the start of the 10/11 season and subsequently extended that contract.
