Joined Munster in 2009 after two years in the Leinster Academy. Prior to joining he played a starring role as Ireland A full back in the Churchill Cup triumph in Colorado.
From Sandycove in Dublin he was educated in St Andrews College and UCD, won an All Ireland Junior League medal with Seapoint before making his way south to Munster.
A neck injury in December '09 ended his inaugural season and his return in September 2010 lasted seven minutes shy of 3 games, an ankle injury (v Ospreys) ruling him out until March 2011.
He fought back to feature in the end of season games and was called into the Ireland team for the pre World Cup games only for injury against France at the Aviva to ruin his chances of a World Cup place.
Missing out on the opening half of season 2011/12's rugby he made his return to the Munster jersey against Treviso in Feb. '12 and a week later scored a try against Cardiff Blues.
The injury front didn't end there with Felix picking up a shoulder injury at Munster's training session in the build-up to their RaboDirect PRO12 semi-final against Ospreys in May '12. This required surgery and sidelined the player once again until Oct '12 when he returned against Edinburgh Rugby in the Heineken Cup.
