A son of former Munster team manager and Irish international Jerry, he has played Ireland U19/21s and made his competitive debut for Munster in September 2007 and was promoted to a full contract in summer 2009.

He played on the Munster side narrowly defeated by New Zealand in 2008 and played a central role in the defeat of the touring Australians two years later.

Captained the winning British & Irish Cup side in 2012.

Holland featured in all of Munster's RaboDirect PRO12 games in the 2012/13 season, starting in 14 and coming on as a replacement in eight.

As consistent as ever this season, Holland made his 80th appearance for Munster against Perpignan in December 2013.

Signed a two-year contract extension in February 2014 that will keep him at the province until June 2016.

Named on Emerging Ireland squad for tour to Romania, June 2014.

Played in Emerging Ireland’s 2014 Nations Cup winning campaign.
