After training with the senior squad for season 2011/12 Donnellan joins the academy cycle at year two for season 2012/13.
Represented Munster A and captained the Munster Development XV when they defeated Russian side Enesei STM in April.
During pre-season he travelled to La Rochelle with the senior squad making his debut against the French side, and went on to make appearances against Bristol and London Irish.
A former Tipperary minor hurler.
