The Shannon club man moved up to the academy from the sub academy at the start of the 2011/12 season after impressing in the British and Irish Cup.  He made his B&I Cup debut against Melrose in December 2010.

When playing for the Munster U20s he lined out alongside fellow senior players Dave O'Callaghan, Paddy Butler, Simon Zebo and Luke O'Dea.

Casey made his non-competitive debut against La Rochelle in the opening pre-season game of 2012/13 and secured a development contract for season 2013/14.

Impressed on his Munster senior debut as a substitute in the Heineken Cup clash against Perpignan in December 2013.

Started his first game for Munster against Scarlets at Musgrave Park in December 2013 although he had to be withdrawn in the first half with a head injury.

Played the full 80 minutes for the first time on his eighth appearance against Ospreys in February '14.  In his first year of Heineken Cup rugby the Cork-man featured in both knock-out games of the competition, coming on against Toulouse and Toulon.

Sustained a right shoulder injury against Edinburgh Rugby in May and completed his season rehabbing post-surgery.

With a keen interest in journalism Duncan documented Munster's pre-season training with a weekly diary, the links for which can be found to the right under latest player news.

Scored his first try away to Newport Gwent Dragons in November 2014 and dotted down an intercept try against Clermont in the Champions Cup in December.

Sustained an ankle injury during the Lanzarote training camp in February 2015 that saw him sidelined for a number of weeks before making a try-scoring return against Connacht at the end of March.

Was rewarded for his rise through the ranks with the 2015 Munster Rugby Young Player of the Year Award at the end of April.

Ruptured his pectoral muscle against Treviso at Thomond Park in mid-November 2015 and after undergoing surgery spent much of the 2015/16 season rehabbing.

Returned to action in an 'A' interpro against Ulster at Naas RFC in early April.
