The first half saw a fairly even contest with UL scoring a try through Michael Dunne which was converted by David Evans. Fergal Cassidy replied with two penalties for LIT leaving it 7-6 in favour of UL at half time.

The second half saw UL pull away with tries Joe Savage, Michael Dunne and Darren Shannon with David Evans place kicking exceptionally well. LIT stayed in the game with a try from Pat Cussen and kicking from the impressive Fergal Cassidy. The final score was 31-11 in favour of UL.

UL are the latest 3rd level institution to benefit from munster rugby development services in the shape of CCRO Euan Gee.
