Good News For Coughlan

James Coughlan cut a very forlorn sight as he sat on the sideline in the Cardiff City Stadium last Friday having been helped off mid-way through the second quarter after suffering injury when he took the ball into contact.
He was removed to The Heath Hospital where examination showed that he had suffered nothing more serious, though nevertheless painful, than a neck sprain. He remained in Cardiff that night, when the squad flew home, returning to The Hilton Hotel along with Munster Head of Physio Anthony Coole and returned to Cork on Saturday.

Coughlan will be further assessed later in the week before a decision is made on whether or not he will be involved against Edinburgh on Friday.

However, BJ Botha (calf), Ian Nagle (shoulder) and Marcus Horan (illness) are all expected to be included in the Munster squad when it's announced tomorrow. So too is Peter O'Mahony who was forced out of the Cardiff game having complained of being unwell in the course of the game.

Tomas O'Leary is back in full training although thought unlikely to feature in the Edinburgh squad while Darragh Hurley continues to rehab his troublesome Achilles.

Munster train in UL tomorrow, have their Captain's Run in Cork on Thursday before flying out that evening to Edinburgh.
