Like wise Shannon had to depend on a late try from Brian Tuohy to came away from Castle Avenue 14-12 winners over Clontarf. Garryowen collected all five points on offer from their trip to Crowley Park, where they defeated bottom side Galwegians 27-8. Dolphin lost away to UCD 20-13, but their battling performance saw them gain a very valuable bonus point.
UL Bohemian still maintained their top spot despite losing 14-13 to Midleton in Division Two. UCC pulled off a surprise 19-17 win away to Barnhall to keep their hopes of a top four finish alive. Old Crescent won the Limerick derby with a 20-14 win over Young Munster. A last minute try proved costly to Waterpark, who lost at home to Malone 19-18. Sunday's Well recorded their second win of the campaign with a 25-12 home win over Ballynahinch which also saw them score four tries to secure a bonus point.
Clonakilty held promotion-chasing Greystones to a 13-13 draw in the Third Division.
Kilfeacle have opened up a four-point gap at the top of the Heineken Munster Junior League, after their 29-0 win away over St. Senan's. Holder's Bruff kept up the chase after 60-20 win against Youghal, which sees them four points behind with a game in hand. St. Mary's 26-7 defeat by Bandon means that they are relegated, while Richmond caused the shock of the day with an 18-17 win away to Old Christians. Crosshaven eased their relegation worries with a deserving 26-10 win at Clanwilliam. The Cobh Pirates v Clonmel game was postponed due to ground conditions.
Tralee moved clear to a return to the First Division after their 74-5 home win over Waterford City. Cashel beat Thurles in the Tipperary derby 16-12 to move into joint second place with Thurles. Skibbereen collected a bonus point with a 52-7 win at home to Muskerry to stay in the hunt for promotion. At the other end of the table, bottom side Ballincollig lost again away to Kanturk 22-12. Douglas were denied victory at Castleisland by an injury time drop goal, as they went down 9-7. Charleville defeated Ennis 17-5 to move the Clare side into the relegation fight.
Third Division leaders Abbeyfeale maintained their lead with a 48-0 home win over Dungarvan. Fermoy moved into second place after their 24-17 win away to Carrick-on-Suir. Mallow look like they are out of the race after they failed to collect a bonus point in their 7-0 home win over Galbally. Newcastle West kept their out side chance alive with a 29-7 win away to Killarney. Dunmanway defeated Kinsale 27-9 and Newport had a narrow 11-7 win away to bottom side Kilrush.
In the Under 20 League, UCC won the top of the table clash with Bruff 18-10. Garryowen defeated Cork Constitution 18-11 and a last minute penalty try gave Young Munster a 16-15 victory over UL Bohemian. Corinthians defeated Sunday's Well 24-6. Buccaneers stay on top of Pool "B" after their 13-6 win over Thomond. Highfield stay in second place after their 26-5 win away to N.U.I.G. Shannon moved into third place after they defeated Old Crescent 13-5.
