Ulster had to wait until the 27 minute of the second half before they took the lead with a penalty from James Shiels and then in injury time Mark McCrea scored a try with Shiels again adding the points.
Despite a strong start to both halves, Munster in the end had to succumb to a physically stronger home side. Their best chances came mid way through the opening half when a series of attacks had Ulster defending desperately but as the game wore on Munster in turn were forced to and in the end the victory went to the deserving side.
