Celtic Cup Semi Final.
5 May 2005, 3:22 pm
The last time Munster and Leinster met in Lansdowne Road was in the December 2001 Celtic League final when 14 man Leinster came from behind to win 24-20.
The last time Leinster lost to a fellow Irish province at Lansdowne Road was when Munster were the visitors for the Irish Interprovincial Championship match in December 1990 and they went away with a 27-12 victory.

Subsequently the two teams also met at Lansdowne Road for the first ever Celtic League final in December 2001, when Leinster, despite having Eric Miller sent off after 25 minutes, went on to claim the prize 24-20.

This is Leinster s 4th Celtic Cup match last season they beat The Ospreys in the first round before unluckily losing out at Ulster on try count at the next hurdle. Last weekend they defeated Glasgow to reach the last four.

Munster s only two previous Celtic Cup matches have both been against Scottish opponents losing out 14-18 in Glasgow in October 2003 and then beating Edinburgh at Thomond Park last Saturday.
