Munster will complete their preparations for the resumption of the Magners League and the game on Friday against Edinburgh in the balmy sunshine and mid 20 degrees of Club La Santa.
Munster flew out to the renowned Club La Santa last Wednesday minus of course those internationals involved in the RBS Six Nations game in Paris.

"Being out here in these conditions," explained McGahan, "allows us get in quality training that may not always be possible at home.

"We've managed good intensity sessions twice a day since we've been here and there's also been the social interaction so vital in a group this size that we don't see back home given the squad is divided between Limerick and Cork.

"So all in all I'd be more than pleased with the exercise and I think it will stand us in good stead in the coming Magners League weeks and the closing stages of the season."

While they were out there the squad was broken into four teams competing for points in various categories - ball handling; skills; volleyball; springboard diving; quiz night - with Paul Darbyshire allocating  scores as they complete the different tasks.

The younger squad members were handed the captaincy roles with Cathal Sheridan, Duncan Williams, Tom Gleeson and Scott Deasy leading the four sides.

Reports are that Sheridan’s “Navy” team are currently in front while Scott’s “Grey” team are well at the back.

However, with the quiz night to come, Deasy is taking bets that with the Deadly Denis Duo, Tipperary's finest, Fogarty and Leamy. in tow, his Grey side can emerge as the Golden Geese.
