With just days to go to Munster's Heineken Cup semi-final against Toulon in Marseilles, the Munster squad continued their preparations with a full squad session in Musgrave Park yesterday.
All profits from the event have been donated to the Mercy Hospital's Men's Rapid Access Cancer Clinic.
Munster Rugby CEO Garrett Fitzgerald said "Munster Rugby are delighted to to have helped with the Mercy Hospital Foundation's fundraising for the Men's Rapid Access Cancer Clinic. We would like to thank everyone who supported the Munster Rugby Awards and gave so generously in these challenging times. It is clear that people recognise the importance of the Mercy Hospital Foundation's work and this is reflected in the total amount raised on the day."
Speaking at the cheque presentation by members of the Munster Rugby team at CIT recently, Micheál Sheridan, CEO Mercy Hospital Foundation said "We are delighted with the association between the Mercy Hospital Foundation and Munster Rugby. We are very grateful for their generous support, which demonstrates not only their commitment to Men's Health, but also to providing essential services for men with prostate and testicular cancer in Munster."
