NEWFOUNDLAND TOUR TO CORK-MARCH 2005

Last Easter weekend an U18 area team from Newfoundland in Canada were on tour in Cork and played three fixtures between Friday and Monday.

Corkman Patrick Parfrey, now living in Newfoundland, brought his team on tour to play the Munster A Schools, Youghal U18 s and South Munster Youths. The games were entertaining affairs, with plenty of young talent on display and played in the best of spirits.

The tour was organised through the Development Office and the schedule was as follows:

Fri 25th March: Munster A Schools v Newfoundland Area U18 RESULT: 17-5

Sat 26th March: Youghal RFC U18 v Newfoundland Area U18 RESULT: 15 -12

Mon 28th March: South Munster Youths v Newfoundland Area U18 RESULT: 12-7
