Tomas O'Leary and Ian Dowling make their first appearance in a Munster Celtic League squad that also includes Paul O'Connell and John Hayes.
John Hayes and Paul O'Connell are named in a Munster squad, for the first time
this season, for the game against Llanelli Scarlets on Friday (Musgrave Park
7.10pm). The inclusion of Hayes and O'Connell means Munster will have their
full Lions complement with Donncha O'Callaghan and Ronan O'Gara also included
in the 24 strong squad.

Anthony Horgan (knee) and John O'Sullivan (calf) were not considered, Horgan
expected to be out for four weeks while O'Sullivan is hopeful of a return to
full training next week.

With Peter Stringer still nursing a slight ankle injury, Declan Kidney has named
four scrum-halves, the most interesting being Tomas O'Leary who earns a call up
following an impressive showing in the Munster A victory over Edinburgh Gunners
last Monday evening.

Munster won that game on the back-pitch of Murrayfield on a 7-5 scoreline, with
their try-scorer Ian Dowling also named in Friday's squad - the first time either he or former U21 international O'Leary have featured in a Celtic League squad.

Munster Squad: John Kelly, Barry Murphy, Trevor Halstead, Rob Henderson, Ian Dowling, Ronan O'Gara, Paul Burke, Frank Murphy, Mike Prendergast, Peter Stringer, Tomas O'Leary, Federico Pucciariello, Marcus Horan, John Hayes, Frank Sheahan, Jerry Flannery, Mick O'Driscoll, Trevor Hogan, Paul O'Connell, Donncha O'Callaghan, Denis Leamy, David Wallace, Alan Quinlan, Anthony Foley.
