A Keith Earls try in the closing stages gave Ireland a 17-16 win over England in their opening game of the IRB U19 World Cup game in Dubai today

A Keith Earls try in the closing stages gave Ireland a 17-16 win over England in their opening game of the IRB U19 World Cup game in Dubai today.

Ireland trailed 13-3 at half time but three Brian Collins penalties brought the Irish within range and Earls scored the winning try at the death.

In the other game played France defeated reigning champions South Africa 42-3
