Shannon remain on course for a record seventh successive victory in the Munster Senior Cup following their narrow 16-14 victory arch rivals Garryowen.

Cashel's great run came to an end at Musgrave Park where a determined Dolphin side proved too strong for the junior side running out 35-3 winners. The final is provisionally scheduled for Sunday 5^th February at Musgrave Park.

Kanturk kept their chance of place in the play offs for the Heineken Munster Junior League alive with a 24-7 victory over St. Mary s at Corbally.
