Although Ireland opened their Dubai Rugby World Cup Sevens with a try in the second minute of their opening game against Samoa, they ended up losing 35-5 to the south sea islanders.
Rupena Levasa led the way for Samoa with a hat-trick of tries while Ireland's sole score came from Brian Touhy, one minute and twenty five seconds into the game.

Next up for Ireland is the game tomorrow against Australia who defeated Portugal today 24-12, a Portugal side who featured former Munster squad memeber Diogo Mateus.
