Munster, the side labelled a one trick pony, in a recent newspaper article, made nonsense of that particular assertion when they ran in 7 tries in their 46-9 victory over Castres.
Munster, the side labelled a one trick pony, in a recent newspaper article, made nonsense of that particular assertion when they ran in 7 tries in their 46-9 victory over Castres.

Having played into a gale in the first half Munster scored 2 tries and led 13-9 at the break.

Their performance dominated by marvellous defence and invention in attack held the home side scoreless in the second half while Munster themselves ran in a scintillating 5 tries in a wondrous second half.

Munster went behind to a Laurent Marticorena penalty but Ronan O'Gara levelled and tries from Marcus Horan and Trevor Halstead had Munster 13-3 ahead before Marticorena knocked over two more penalties to leave just four points separating the sides at the break.

An early second half John Kelly try was followed by the first of two for Paul O'Connell and the outcome was in safe keeping by the start of the final quarter.
