In addition to the Ireland XV it was an action packed weekend for other Munster players who all won their respective Irish games.

Ireland A

The A's were in action on Friday night in the RDS where they successfully defeated Scotland 35-10. This was the first outing for the side after the opening game against the England Saxons was cancelled at the last minute.

Munster's Donnacha Ryan, Barry Murphy and Niall Ronan all played a role in the convincing win over the Scottish side. Donnacha Ryan started at blindside flanker and Barry Murphy and Niall Ronan both came on in the second half. Ronan was a late addition to the squad, coming in for Leinster's Sean O'Brien.

Ireland U20's

The U20's continued on winning ways with a hard fought win over Italy on Saturday. As with the senior game the young guns encountered a very physical Italian side and battled on to win 29-23.

Munster Rugby Academy player Conor Murray and Sub Academy player Ronan O'Mahony both contributed to the scoreline with Murray kicking three penalties and O'Mahony scoring a try in the 78th minute.

Next up: England in Dubarry Park on Friday the 27th, ko 6.15pm.

Ireland Women

Munster's Niamh Briggs added to the try count on Saturday afternoon when Ireland beat Italy 35-17 in Collefero. Not a bad day in the office for the Clonmel outhalf as she also kicked two penalties and two conversions bringing her tally to 15 points on the day.

With a strong Munster representation, eight Munster players in the match 22, the Irish women will hope to make it three out of three when they welcome the 2008 6 Nations champions England to St. Mary's College RFC on Friday the 27th, ko 6.30pm.
