The Youths never settled in the first half and were trailing by ten points to nil by the break. Some words from coaches Lenny Browne and Tony Effie refocused their efforts and by the middle of the second half putting positive patterns of play together to level the game at ten a piece at full time. The referee was invited to discuss the laws of the game with the players after the match with input from coaches and advisors.

Next week sees the Youths travelling to Rockwell college to play the first XV.
