Thomond Opens For Business

The first official event to be hosted in the new Thomond Park Stadium took place last night, Thursday 25th September, when the redeveloped stadium opened the doors for a corporate event.
A BDO Simpson Xavier Conference was hosted in the stadium's new conference and banqueting facilities in the East stand of the stadium.

An audience of 275 listened to speakers at the event that included Chairman of Anglo Irish Bank, Sean Fitzpatrick, Managing Partner BDO Simpson Xavier, Brian McGann, Ger Holliday and Michelle O'Keefe, BDO Simpson Xavier and Dwight Badger, Advanced Equities from the USA.

Speaking after the event Ger Holliday, Private Client Partner with BDO Simpson Xavier outlined "we were delighted to host the first event in a venue that is going to be a major economic and social contributor to Limerick and the region.   We have had phenomenal feedback on the event, based on the theme of it, in addition to the impression created by the facilities in Thomond Park".
