If London Wasps were to win their game against Munster they would not only win the Pool they could also win themselves a home quarter-final. A draw or a loss by less than seven points would also see them through.
But thanks to the bonus point secured in France last weekend, there is nothing in the region of the  four-try, 27-point win they needed to edge past Gloucester some years back.

What is required is a little less daunting but simply winning the match would not, of itself, mean that Munster finish top of Pool 5. Only a bonus point win would achieve that, or a win by more than seven points to deny Wasps a losing bonus.

And if Munster were to win and Wasps secured a bonus point in defeat, the sides would finish level on 19 points and the final standings would be decided on the head-to-head meetings according to the following criteria.

a) Match points;

b) Ttries;

c) Points aggregate.

In that scenario given that the match points would be five apiece from the two games, and the try tally was two apiece when Wasps beat Munster 24-23 at the Ricoh, Munster would need to win scoring more tries, or scoring the same number of tries and by two points or more.
