Ireland Trail at half-time in Murrayfield

Scotland lead Ireland 19-6 at half-time in a rain soaked Murrayfield.
Scotland owe their dominance to their pack and they went in front after two minutes with an Ally Hogg try converted by Chris Paterson. Paddy Wallace kicked a simple penalty when the Scots were penalised for hands in the ruck five minutes later.

The home side extended their lead with an Andrew Henderson try again converted by Paterson and although Geordan Murphy kicked a second Irish penalty the Scots again went to their pack for a third try four minutes from the break from Euan Murray with Paterson's conversion comin back off the left upright.

What is encouraging from Ireland's point of view is that whenever they manage to get the ball wide the Irish backs, despite the awful conditions look well capable of doing damage
