Buckley Heads For Bath

Prop forward Tony Buckley will leave Munster at the end of the season to take up a one year contract with Premiership side Bath.

The 26 year old who won 5 caps this season was in negotiations with Munster over a new contract but rejected their initial offer opting instead for the one year deal with the English side.

Buckley made his debut for Munster against Northampton Saints in the pre-season friendly in August 2005 but dogged by injury made just four further appearances for the side that season each time off the bench.

His opportunities this season were once again restricted by injury but in recent weeks when he has been free of injury he has been a constant in the Munster match day squad.
