ACT Brumbies CEO Rob Clarke has wished Andrew Walker well after failing to agree terms with the player. "We made Andrew what we considered to be a fair offer but the gap between the two was enormous," said Clarke, "Realistically it was an offer from Manly that Andrew couldn't refuse."

Walker made his Super 12 debut against the Blues in 2000 and has since played a total of 47 matches for the Brumbies. He scored 31 tries and more than 200 points in his four seasons with the Brumbies and was the leading try scorer in the Super 12 in his debut year.

"Andrew and his family leave us with our best wishes and the considerable affection of the Brumbies and our supporters," said Clarke. "He's made a significant contribution to ACT Rugby and will always remain an important part of this place. We wish him every success in his future."
