With World Cup selection very much on the minds of the national selectors it is expected that Munster coach Alan Gaffney, will be asked to give game time to players like Keith Wood, David Wallace and Anthony Horgan while Guy Easterby will likely turn out for the newcomers to the Zurich Premiership.

All in all it looks like being a star studded event just a fortnight ahead of the season opener which takes place in Donnybrook (Sept 5th) when Munster begin the defence of their title against Leinster, the side they relieved of the trophy.

Because of the need to accomodate the requirements of the national selectors, Munster are not expected to name their side until Wednesday evening at the earliest

Friday's game is expected to attract a large crowd and admission prices are 15 Stand 10 Ground 5 Schoolpupil.
