Munster Captain Paul O’Connell has identified the importance of the Red Army and Munster’s loyal supporters throughout the years “Munster is renowned worldwide for its great support and there has always been a special bond between the players and supporters. The MRSC has not only been of huge importance to us on match day but the continued support of members has benefitted young players from academy stage to senior level. On behalf of the squad I would like to acknowledge the support from our fans over the years and thank the MRSC members for their continued loyalty”.

Over the past five years the Supporters Club has contributed over €600,000 to the Munster Rugby Academy and the development of young players. Munster player Conor Murray said “having come through the Munster Academy system my whole approach to rugby changed. In the academy the focus takes on the importance of diet and nutrition amongst other facets of the professional game which helped me to develop as a player and gain the confidence to play at the highest level."
