    A Cork native & product of the Munster Rugby Academy, Archer secured a development contract for season 2010/11 and moved on to a senior contract at the start of season 2011/12. 

    He made his first Heineken Cup appearance off the bench against Castres in Thomond Park in January '12, and then went on to start for Ireland A against England in Sandy Park.  

    His first Irish senior cap came as a replacement against Italy in the 2013 Six Nations in Rome.  

    Archer finished out the 2012/13 season on the side-line after dislocating a bone in his left wrist in the PRO12 game against Dragons in April.

    Made a good start to the 2013/14 season and was called into Joe Schmidt's first Irish squad for the Guinness Series earning his second cap against Australia.

    Named in the extended Ireland squad for the 2014 Six Nations.

    At the end of March Archer sustained a bulging disc in his neck at training and completed his 13/14 season rehabbing the injury.

    Was included in the Ireland squad for the 2014 Guinness Series.

    Signed a three year contract extension with the province in December 2014. Archer impressed after Christmas and was exceptional in the narrow PRO12 semi-final win over Ospreys.

    Part of the Emerging Ireland squad that won the 2015 Tblisi Cup in Georgia.

    Sustained a neck injury against Glasgow in October 2015 that saw him miss much of the season.  Returned to action the following March against Dragons where he won his 100th cap for the province.  Finished out the 2015/16 season with 9 appearances.

    Arnold made the move to Munster from Ulster where he made 14 senior appearances including his Champions Cup debut, starting on the wing against Oyannax in Charles Mathon in January.

    Arnold, who hails from England, made his Guinness PRO12 debut as an 18-year-old against Newport Gwent Dragons at Rodney Parade in March 2015 and completed the season as Ulster Rugby's Academy Player of the Year. 

    The former Exiles representative joined Munster on a two-year deal at the beginning of the 2016/17 season.  Sustained a knee injury during the pre-season training and is ruled out for the opening period of the season.

    Cian made the move from the sub academy to the academy at the start of the 2011/12 season, and made his B&I Cup debut in October 2012 against Plymouth Albion.

    He made his senior RaboDirect PRO12 debut coming on as a replacement against Zebre in May 2013 and after two years in the academy secured a development contract for season 2013/14.

    Made his second PRO12 appearance off the bench in the first game of the 2013/14 season against Edinburgh at Musgrave Park.

    Signed a one-year development contract extension for the 2014/15 season.

    Played for a Munster 7’s side at the Limerick World Club 7s Festival in Thomond Park, August 2014.

    Ruptured both his anterior cruciate ligament and posterolateral corner in a pre-season game against London Irish at the Waterford RSC in August and is expected to be out of action for the next six to nine months.

    Signed a two-year contract extension in January - remaining at development status for 2015/16 and advancing to full contract status up until June 2017.

    After missing a full season of rugby, Bohane returned to feature against Treviso and Glasgow Warriors in this season's PRO12 and started every game for Munster A in the British & Irish Cup.

    Prop Rory Burke was educated at Christian Brothers College and plays his club rugby for Cork Con.

    Burke played for the Munster Under 19s in 2012/13 and progressed to the Under 20 side the following year.

    The prop also has international honours having represented Ireland at Under 19 level and he was called into the Irish under-age National Training Camp in October 2013.

    Made his B&I Cup debut for Munster A v Leinster A in Donnybrook, April 2014.

    Played in every game of the Ireland Under-20s' Six Nations campaign in 2014.

    Part of the Cork Con senior team that won the 2014 Bateman Cup.

    Included in the Ireland U20 squad for the 2014 IRB Junior World Championship in New Zealand.

    Made three B&I Cup appearances in 2014/15 but two ankle operations saw him miss much of the season.

    Made his senior debut in pre-season action against Grenoble at Thomond Park in August 2015. 

    Finished out the 2015/16 season with three B&I Cup appearances and had his time in the Academy extended by one year after a series of injuries hampered his development.

    Conway made the move to Munster at the start of the 2013/14 season after signing a two year contract.  

    He was included in the Emerging Ireland squad that travelled to Georgia for the Tbilisi Cup in June 2013 but picked up a calf injury while training, and took no part in the competition.

    He featured for the Irish U20s for two seasons, in 2009/10 and 2010/11, playing in two Six Nations tournaments and two Junior World Cups.

    Sustained knocks against Gloucester in pre-season and Glasgow in the PRO12 which has limited his game time early on in the 2013/14 season.

    Scored his first try for Munster in the bonus-point win away to Cardiff Blues in November 2013.

    Played in Emerging Ireland’s 2014 Nations Cup winning campaign, scoring a hat-trick of tries against Russia.

    Made his Champions Cup debut for Munster in a 26-27 win over Sale Sharks in October 2014, scoring a try on the day also.

    Signed a one-year contract extension that will see him stay with Munster until at least June 2016.

    Ended the 2014/15 season with four tries in 18 appearances for Munster with an additional appearance for the Irish Wolfhounds against England Saxons at Irish Independent Park.

    Part of the Emerging Ireland squad that won the 2015 Tblisi Cup in Georgia.

    A strong 2015/16 season saw Conway make 22 appearances, score four tries and pick up his first man of the match accolade for the province against Edinburgh at Irish Independent Park in April.

    In March he was added to the Ireland training squad for the final round of the 2016 RBS 6 Nations.

    Signed a two-year contract extension that will see him remain with the province until June 2018.

    Coombes first plied his trade with Skibbereen RFC before lining out as captain for Bandon Grammar in the Munster Schools Senior Cup when they reached the quarter final this year. Later representing Ireland at U19, the number 8's representative career started with Munster U18 Schools where he won the 2014/15 Interprovincial title alongside his now academy colleagues Bill Johnston, Calvin Nash and John Foley.  He also won the U19 Interprovincial title the following season.

    Coombes made his B&I Cup debut against London Welsh at Midleton RFC in October 2016.

    Copeland is a former Leinster Academy and St Mary’s College player.  Having joined Cardiff Blues in 2012, he went on to make 53 appearances for the team, scoring 8 tries along the way. 

    Was named in the preliminary 44-man squad for the 2014 Six Nations Championship.  He made his debut for Ireland Wolfhounds when he started in their friendly against England Saxons on January 25th 2014.

    Copeland was also named in Ireland's 34-man squad for the opening two fixtures of the 2014 Six Nations Championship.

    The Wexfordman joins the province on a two year contract commencing in July 2014.

    Played in Emerging Ireland’s 2014 Nations Cup winning campaign and was awarded Player of the Tournament.

    Made his first Munster appearance against London Irish in the SEAT Challenge at the Waterford RSC, August 2014.

    Copeland made his competitve debut against Benetton Treviso in the Guinness PRO12 at the Stadio Monigo, September 2014, and scored his first try for Munster in an away PRO12 win over Leinster at the AVIVA Stadium that October.

    Made his Champions Cup debut against Saracens in October 2014 at Thomond Park, and went on to make his Ireland debut against Georgia at the Aviva in November '14.

    Injured his shoulder against Leinster in Thomond Park on St. Stephen's Day and spent the next month rehabbing before it was confirmed the player required surgery and he underwent a stabilisation procedure in mid-February ruling him out for the remainder of the 2014/15 season.

    Made a return for the 2015/16 season and signed a two-year contract extension that will see him remain with the province until at least June 2018.

    Featuring in 27 of Munster's 28 competitive games, Copeland made the most appearances in 2015/16, scoring 3 tries.

    After playing his first game for Munster A against Connacht Eagles in a pre-season game in August 2012 James went on to make his British & Irish Cup debut against Rotherham Titans in December.

    He claimed his first senior cap in the RaboDirect PRO12 game against Leinster in Thomond Park in April 2013 and was voted Academy Player of the Year in May.

    After 2 years in the academy programme, the prop was rewarded with a development contract for season 2013/14.

    Cronin featured in both pre-season games against Gloucester and London Irish in August 2013 and capped his first competitive start for Munster against Edinburgh at Musgrave Park in September with a try.  Went on to make his Heineken Cup debut against the same side in October in Murrayfield. 

    Continued his impressive early season form into December and was rewarded with a two-year contract extension that will keep him at the province until at least June 2016.

    Following an ankle sprain, made a return to competitive action for Munster against Toulon in the Heineken Cup semi-final on April 27th 2014 and closed the season out with 26 appearances for the province.

    One of 4 uncapped players named in Ireland's summer tour to Argentina, 2014.

    Won his first Irish senior cap coming on as a replacement in Ireland's second test against Argentina, June 2014. 

    Named in the Ireland squad for the 2015 6 Nations and made his 6 Nations debut coming off the bench against Italy in Rome.

    Sustained a knee injury in during the game, requiring a procedure that week which ruled him out for the next month.

    Returned to the side towards the end of the season making two appearances, including one off the bench in the PRO12 final defeat to Glasgow.

    Former Leinster academy player Steve Crosbie signed a three-month development contract at the start of October. 

    The outhalf made two PRO12 appearances during his time in the academy and represented Ireland U20s during the 2013 6 Nations and World Championship.

    Featured for the Munster A side in the British and Irish Cup, and on completion of his contract moved to Connacht Rugby in January 2017.

    From Clonmel, Co. Tipperary, Foley played a central role in Munster's run to the inaugural British & Irish Cup final in 2010, the same season he won his first senior cap as a second year academy member. 

    At the start of the 2010/11 season he secured a development contract and moved to a full senior contract the following season where he saw limited game time due to injury.

    He began the 2012/13 pre-season rehabbing, and made a return for the pre-season games against Bristol Rugby and London Irish in Musgrave Park.

    In addition to his 10 RaboDirect PRO12 appearances in 2012/13 Foley made seven appearances in the British & Irish Cup. 

    Foley was named in the Emerging Ireland squad to take part in the 2013 IRB Tbilisi Cup in Georgia in May 2013 and started all three games.

    Made his long-awaited Heineken Cup debut in January 2014 as a starter away to Gloucester and impressed as Munster prevailed on a scoreline of 20-7 and secured a quarter final place.

    Named on Emerging Ireland squad for tour to Romania, June 2014.

    Played in Emerging Ireland’s 2014 Nations Cup winning campaign.

    Won his first Irish senior cap against Georgia in November's Guinness Series, also playing a part in Ireland's victory over Australia a week later.

    Featured heavily across 2015/16, making 25 appearances and winning inclusion in the Ireland training squad for Round 3 of the RBS 6 Nations.

    Initially playing his underage rugby with UL Bohs, Foley played his Schools rugby with St Munchin’s.  The Clare native played for both province and country at U18 Schools level, claiming Interprovincial honours in 2014/15 and also helping Munster U20s to the Interprovincial title in 2015/16.

    The Shannon RFC player was included in the Ireland U20 squad for the 2016 6 Nations.

    In March 2015 Johnston was part of the Rockwell College side that claimed the Munster Schools Senior Cup.
    Having previously represented Munster U18 Schools, the Clonmel native also captained Ireland U18 Schools during the Rugby Europe U18 Championship in France earlier this year.

    Joining the sub-academy ranks at the beginning of season 2015/16, the young fly half won inclusion - alongside his older brother and academy player David - in the Munster senior squad for all three pre-season encounters, starting the final game against London Irish at years of age.

    The following month the Garryowen man played his part in Munster U20s' Interprovincial success and was added to the full academy programme in November.

    After recovering from a shoulder injury sustained in action for Ireland U20s against a Munster Development XV in December, Johnston won inclusion for Ireland at the 2016 World Rugby U20 Championship in Manchester.  The playmaker started the opening two games, including the first ever win over New Zealand by an Ireland men's side.  Unfortunately that same win saw Johnston sustain another shoulder injury which he is currently rehabbing.

    A graduate of the Munster Academy, Johston was a member of the Rockwell squad that won the 2012 Munster School's Senior Cup title.

    The same year he represented Ireland U18 Schools in the 2012 FIRA/AER European Championship in Spain where Ireland came second. The side also included his academy colleagues Gearoid Lyons and Greg O'Shea.

    The Clonmel man represented Munster U19s in the 2012/13 Interprovincial series and then represented Ireland U19s in April 2013 against England and France, joining the Academy in the 2013/14 season.

    Played for Munster U20s in the Interprovincial campaign in September 2013.

    Made his Munster A debut in the B&I Cup quarter final against Leinster A at Donnybrook in April 2014.

    Represented the Munster senior team in pre-season action, August 2014 - away to Gloucester and a week later in the SEAT Challenge against London Irish at the Waterford RSC.

    A product of the Munster Youths system Madigan was promoted from the sub academy to the academy for season 2013/14.

    From Charleville in Co. Cork the UCC student played for Munster U20s in the Interprovincial campaign in September 2013.

    Included in the Ireland U20 squad for the 2014 IRB Junior World Championship in New Zealand, however illness later prevented him from travelling.

    Represented the Munster senior team in pre-season action, August 2014 - away to Gloucester and a week later in the SEAT Challenge against London Irish at the Waterford RSC.

    A shoulder injury curtailed much of his involvement in the 2014/15 season. Returned in time to feature for Munster A against the Connacht Eagles and Ulster Ravens in April '15.

    In following the footsteps of his brother Brian and father John who both lined out for Munster, John Jnr made his PRO12 debut v Treviso in Irish Independent Park in September 2015. 

    A month later he sustained a knee injury while playing for his club side Dolphin RFC and underwent surgery ruling him out for the remainder of the 2015/16 season.  While rehabbing he used the time to undergo keyhole surgery on his shoulder also. 

    Signed a one-year development contract for the 2016/17 season.

    The loosehead impressed on a number of occassions for Munster 'A' after making his B&I Cup debut in the 2015 quarter-final against Doncaster Knights.

    Began a one-year Development contract in June 2015 and subsequently signed a contract extension for the 2016/17 season.  

    A pectoral tear saw the prop miss much of the 2015/16 competitive season but following his return, he impressed in both club action for Dolphin and for Munster A in the final two rounds of the British and Irish Cup.

    Made his PRO12 debut in November 2016 against Ospreys in Irish Independent Park and a week later featured against the Maori All Blacks in Thomond Park.

    After playing against Doncaster in the rescheduled B&I Cup game in early January he joined Connacht Rugby on a loan basis the following week.

    From Dungarvan, McMahon won the Munster Schools Senior Cup title with Rockwell in 2012 and represented the school again in the 2013 final.

    In April 2014 he played for a Munster Development XV that were narrowly defeated by Russian outfit Enisei-STM at Musgrave Park, scoring two tries from fullback.

    A month later he represented the Plate-winning Ireland U19s at the FIRA/AER European 7s Championship in Lisbon playing alongside academy colleagues Jack Cullen, Ben Kilkenny, Greg O'Shea and Tomás Quinlan.

    On joining the academy at the start of the 2015/16 season he represented Munster in the Limerick World Club 7s at Thomond Park in August 2015 and went on to make an appearance against Grenoble in Munster's pre-season game.

    Starting out with Young Munster, while attending Crescent College Comprehensive, Nash was a member of the Munster U18 Schools side that had Interprovincial success in 2014/15.

    On the international front he represented Ireland U18 Schools and U19s before enjoying further interprovincial success as part of the 2015/16 Munster U20 side.

    O'Brien made his competitive Ireland U20 debut at the 2016 World Rugby U20 Championship, the first of his tournament

    A former Connacht Rugby academy player the UL Bohs man featured for the Munster As and Development Squad in season 2013/14 and joined Munster on a training contract at the start of this season.  

    He went on to make his debut against Gloucester at Kingsholm in August and then started in his PRO12 debut against Edinburgh in Thomond Park in the first competitive game of the season.

    As a Munster U20s player he lined out with current squad members Cian Bohane, Shane Buckley, Johnny Holland, JJ Hanrahan and Niall Scannell during 2010/11.

    He captained the Munster U18 Clubs side at the 2008/09 Interpros and was part of the Highfield U18s All Ireland winning squad in 2009.

    Signed a contract extension to stay with the province until the end of the 2015/16 season as a development player. In that season he made five B&I Cup appearances for Munster A and one PRO12 appearance.

    In March O'Byrne signed a two-year contract extension that will keep him at the province until at least June 2018.

    O'Callaghan spent three years in the Munster Rugby Academy and was added to the Heineken Cup squad in the 2011/2012 season in his final year.

    This was just reward for the impact he had made at British & Irish Cup level and on the number of occasions he featured in RaboDirect PRO12 games.

    He moved to a development contract at the start of the 2012/13 season and the Corkman did not have to wait long before making his first Heineken Cup start, excelling in a pool win over Saracens at Thomond Park that December.  He then signed a two-year full contract from season 2013/14.

    He represented the Ireland U20s in two Junior World Cup campaigns, in Japan in 2009 and in Argentina in 2010, and in June 2013 represented Emerging Ireland in the Tbilisi Cup. 

    During the 2013/14 he only featured on five occasions due to injury, and had to undergo surgery after injuring the patellar tendon in his right knee against Zebre in February 2014 and closed out his season rehabbing.

    Made a return to PRO12 action against Newport Gwent Dragons at Rodney Parade in November '14, and went on to score his first try for Munster against Leinster on St. Stephen's Day in Thomond Park.

    Signed a one-year contract extension that will see him stay with the province until at least June 2016.

    Picked up a torn MCL in his left knee while playing for Munster 'A' against the Ulster Ravens in April and will return in time for the 2015/16 season.

    A late call-up to the Ireland U20s JWC squad in June 2015, he made his Irish U20s debut from the bench against Scotland and went on to make a further three appearances.

    Joined the Munster Academy at the beginning of the 2015/16 season.

    Made his Munster and European debut off the bench against Stade Francais in the Champions Cup in January 2016.

    A Munster Schools Senior Cup winning captain with Rockwell, he represented both province and country from U18 right through to U20 and claimed interprovincial success with Munster in 2015/16.

    That same season saw him make his B&I Cup debut as a sub-academy player – against London Scottish in November 2015 – and in the following months the former Cashel RFC player made his Ireland U20 debut in the 6 Nations before featuring heavily in the World Rugby U20 Championship.

    O'Shea moved to Worcester Warriors at the start of the 2014/15 season after completing one year in the Greencore Munster Rugby Academy.  There he helped the English side win promotion to the Aviva Premiership.
     
    The 23-year-old lock is a product of the provincial age-grades and featured for Munster A in the British and Irish Cup.
     
    He started a two-year contract at the beginning of the 2016/17 season.

    Greg was part of the Crescent College side that won the Munster Schools Senior Cup in March 2013, defeating Rockwell in the Final.  O’Shea’s try against CBC deep in added time in the replayed semi-final at Musgrave Park proved crucial in Crescent’s first Cup win in 19 years.

    He is one of three players advancing straight in to the academy from school level and Greg has also won two Junior Cup titles with CCC in 2010 & 2011.

    O'Shea featured for the Ireland U18 Schools in the FIRA/AER U-18 European Championships in Spain in April 2012 and in France in March 2013.

    The flying winger was selected for the Ireland Youth Olympic team for the European Youth Olympics in Trabzon, Turkey in July 2011, running in the 100m sprint and the 4 x 100m relay.

    Played for Munster U20s in the Interprovincial campaign in September 2013.

    Made his Munster senior debut coming on against Gloucester in the pre-season game in Kingsholm in August 2014, and went on to make his B&I Cup Munster A debut against Moseley RFC in Clonmel in October.

    Scored a try for Ireland U20s against Italy in the opening game of the 2015 U20 6 Nations, however, a broken cheek bone sustained in the game would rule him out for the remainder of the competition.

    O'Shea had his time in the Academy extended by one year after a series of injuries hampered his development, including an Achilles in 2015/16.

    Featured for Munster in the opening preseason game of 2016/17 against Zebre in Waterford and went on to make his PRO12 debut coming on as a replacement against Scarlets in September.

    Originally from Stockport, winger Alex Wootton played for Ireland at the Under 20 World Championship.

    A product of Northampton Saints academy, Wootton went to England’s Sedbergh School, once attended by former England captain Will Carling and Gloucester winger James Simpson-Daniel.

    Made his Munster A debut in December 2013 against Plymouth Albion at the RSC in Limerick.

    Included in the Ireland U-20 squad for the 2014 IRB Junior World Championship in New Zealand.

    Featured against Nottingham for Munster A in the 2014/15 B&I Cup and also in the Interprovincial Series win over the Ulster Ravens in April.

    Named Garryowen's 2015 Senior Player of the Year

    Represented both the Ireland Men's 7 squad and the Ireland Wolfhounds 7s squad in the summer of 2015

    Captained the Munster side in the Limerick World Club 7s at Thomond Park in August 2015.

    Scored a wonderful solo try in an 'A' interprovincial against Ulster at Naas RFC in April and was a regular for Ireland Men's 7s in the bid for Olympic qualification in 2016.

    Graduated to the senior squad on a one-year development contract at the start of 2016/17, making his PRO12 debut against Edinburgh in Thomond Park in September.

    First taking to the field for Bantry Bay RFC, the West Cork native attended Cistercian College Roscrea where he won a Leinster Schools Senior Cup title in 2015 and reached the final again in 2016.

    In what proved to be a big season for the second rower, 2015/16 saw him claim the U19 Interprovincial title with Munster and line out for Munster A against Ulster A at Naas RFC in April.

    Made his B&I Cup debut against London Welsh at Midleton RFC in October 2016.
